We'd love Maxine Peake to play the revolutionary Cuban heroine Celia Sanchez in the serial 'Fidel Castro: my new Boyfriend' we're developing. The idea is to smuggle in topical issues into a mainstream comedy and bypass media bias against Cuba and promote values of solidarity.

We are holding a script reading in Southampton on Oct 14th for a screenplay called ‘Fidel Castro: My New Boyfriend’. This weaves together the story of the Cuban revolution, the making of the musical, and 21st century life seen though Fidel's eyes. We would welcome extra readers.
